Olive & Black

Top: Target
Skirt: American Apparel
Flats: Urban Outfitters

On Friday we didn’t have classes because we were watching seniors present their senior projects, and then it was Folklife. Folklife is a music festival, which is on my school’s campus, so it would really be impossible to have class while it was going on. This is what I wore that day. I got this skirt for my birthday from my grandma, and I really like it. I’d been looking at it online for awhile, but it was just too much money for me to buy it for myself.

Power Flower

Top: Nordstrom
Leggings: Goodwill
Flats: Urban Outfitters

Today was cooler, but I still wanted to be spring-ey, so I busted out these floral leggings. Thiey were only a dollar at Goodwill, because the cashier thought I was a child, and all children’s wear was a dollar! So that was cool. Anyways hope you all are well, don’t forget to enter my Romwe giveaway, and have a wonderful day.

Spring Velvet

Vest: Thrift Store
Skirt: American Apparel
Tights: Nordstrom
Flats: Urban Outfitters

I’m trying to learn how to use the manual mode on my camera better, so I apologize for the quality of this picture. It’s really nice out, and I wish I could experiment more with the settings, but I’m not feeling so well, so it’ll have to wait for another time.

Free Days

Shirt (dress): Goodwill
Skirt: American Apparel
Boots: Last Chance

It’s a lovely day out today, and I don’t have school, which makes it even better. I was originally wearing this skirt with a black sweater, but I wanted something a bit more “spring”. This denim shirt is actually a dress I tucked into the skirt.

Favorite Combinations

Sweater: H&M
Belt: Plato’s Closet
Skirt: American Apparel
Boots: Nordstrom

This is what I wore to school on Friday. My hair looks so much longer in this picture even though I only got about an inch and a half trimmed off. The color combination of deep red and cream is one of my favorites. I babysit that night, so I traded the skirt out for a pair of comfortable skinny jeans when I got home.

Favorite Sweater

Sweater: Goodwill
Skirt: American Apparel
Stockings: Walgreens
Socks: Old tights
Boots: Nordstrom

I love this sweater so much. I wear it pretty much every day when I’m just lounging in my pajamas, and all the time on the weekend with jeans. It had been too long since I had worn it to school and posted it here, so I decided to wear it yesterday. I paired it with one of my favorite skirts, this velvet one from American Apparel, for some color, and socks to make it more interesting.

Sugar Skull

Shirt: I painted
Skirt: American Apparel
Boots: Nordstrom

I walked into my first period class today, and I found that the girl sitting next to me was wearing a black tee shirt with a silver picture on it, the same red velvet skirt, black tights and black shoes! It was pretty funny. Also, It made me think about how much we wear is really original and how much is coping those around us. Maybe some other person we were both around subconsciously inspired us to wear that outfit! How conscious is the process of being inspired?

Black Tea

Shirt (Dress): H&M
Skirt: American Apparel
Flats: Zappos

This is what I wore last night to a friend’s birthday party. First we had this super girly tea party, which was amazing then. Then, we all piled into cars and went ice skating till the rink closed!

Velvet Wolf

Shirt: Goodwill
Skirt: American Apparel
Tights: Nordstrom
Boots: Nordstrom

Two of my favorite things! Wolves are probably my favorite animals, just because I think they are really cool, and I’m currently obsessed with velvet. I’ve been wearing this skirt a lot lately, but I don’t really care. If I really like something I might as well just wear it as much a possible.

Winter Blossoms

Scarf: Jujubes
Sweater: My Dad
Leggings: American Apparel//GoodWill
Boots: Nordstrom

This is what I wore yesterday for possibly the shortest day of school ever. We had a two hour late start because of the snow and then we got out two hours early because they were scared we were going to get snowed in. Needless to say, we didn’t get much done. Emmy and I went to Harris’ house after school. After that, I went home and then Camille and I went to the gym for a bit. Today I did some home work and now I’m about to try to walk to Camille’s house in the snow.

Grey Winter Days

Hat: H&M
Sweater: My Dad
Necklace: My Mom
Skirt: American Apparel
Tights: Harriet Carter
Boots: Nordstrom

I wasn’t planning on wearing this sweater today but it’s just so comfortable. It’s funny that some people’s excuse for not caring about fashion is that it’s uncomfortable, because I’m just as comfy in this outfit as I would be in sweats. What do you wear when you want to look cute and be comfortable? Let me know in a comment or photo reply to this post!

Telepathic Mysteries

Sweater: Thrift Store
Belt: Savers
Skirt: American Apparel
Flats: Zappos.com

You may remember that I borrowed Emmy’s skirt just like this once. I really liked it, so I asked for it for the holidays and one of my grandmas got it for me! Emmy and I planned to both wear our skirts today. She wore hers with a dark shirt and her new creepers, so I decided she was the goth twin and I was the preppy twin.

Red Velvet

Headband: I made
Sweater: Value Village
Skirt: American Apparel, borrowed from EMMY
Tights: Nordstrom
Boots: Forever 21

Isn’t this skirt absolutely amazing? The velvet is so rich and smooth. Also, it’s super versatile. I wish I could say it’s mine, but actually my friend Emmy was kind enough to let me borrow it for the day. You should check out her Tumblr and Lookbook, because she has amazing style.

I’m sad to say, the boots I’m wearing here are falling apart. I got a blister on the bottom of my foot today, because the sole is so worn down, so I don’t think I’m going to wear them anymore. They are a year old and I’ve probably worn them over 100 times, but I’m still disappointed they didn’t last longer. Oh well, what can you expect from $30, Forever 21 shoes. I ordered new boots online, and they are on there way. Hopefully they will work out!

Off To Camp

Shirt: GoodWill
Belt: Thrift Store
Shorts: Value Village
Shoes: DSW
Sweatshirt: American Apparel
Shirt: My Dad

I am off to Girl Scout Camp for two weeks today! I am sort of excited and sort of nervous. I have a few posts queued for you guys, but obviously I won’t have internet at camp, so I’m sorry if I don’t reply to your questions or emails or anything. Today I am just wearing this comfortable outfit, nothing too exciting. This picture was taken in my room, which is almost completely empty because we are redoing our floors while I am at camp. There are lots of people in my house moving furniture and stuff, so I didn’t want to awkwardly take my tripod outside and take pictures of my outfit.
