Emmy, and I love everything about it, except that it’s really big. I try to solve that problem by wearing it tucked into shorts. Also, I had to roll up the sleeves because they reach my knees!

I’m really behind on posting outfits; this is what I wore on Wednesday. We had an early release day, so I went downtown with some friends an hung out there. It was really fun! A girl in my math class commented on how I wore a lot of black, so I tried to see if I could wear more color in an outfit. This is still mostly black, but there is more then one color in it, which is more than I can say for most things I wear.

I love this sweater so much. I wear it pretty much every day when I’m just lounging in my pajamas, and all the time on the weekend with jeans. It had been too long since I had worn it to school and posted it here, so I decided to wear it yesterday. I paired it with one of my favorite skirts, this velvet one from American Apparel, for some color, and socks to make it more interesting.

This is what I wore yesterday to school and to wonder around downtown with some friends afterwards. I love the details on the collar of this pretty blouse from Goodwill and these shorts, which I got from the Topshop sale when I was in New York fit me perfectly. If I had to wear one outfit everyday it would be my infinity scarf, and cozy sweater over a skirt with black tights and shoes. In my opinion it’s put together while being comfortable and warm. Some days it’s fun to experiment with new things, but others it’s best just to stick with a combination you know will work.

Today, wanted to wear these boots I got at Goodwill, and for some reason they make me think of like a garden fairy or something, so I went with a flower theme. A floral dress and floral printed tights may not be the best combination, but I like it for this outfit. I finished the look off with a braid, which looked really nice when I took these pictures, but was completely falling out by the end of the day.

It was so hard to go back to school after practically a while week off due to snow and MLK day. The one redeeming quality of this week is that I can wear some of the things I got at Goodwill on Thursday. Today I layered the collared shirt I got under this fuschia sweater, which I got at Value Village in like 8th grade. New clothes can make any day just a little bit more fun!
