Isn’t this shirt really cool? It’s actually my dad’s, but he let me borrow it. To make it less weirdly oversized, I had to tuck it into high wasted shorts and roll up the sleeves, but I think it looks pretty good.

Lace in the Rain

Yesterday after school my friend Maya and I were hanging out, and it was pouring rain. We decided to go see the Hunger Games, because I still hadn’t seen it. The only problem was the theatre was four or five blocks away, and the movie had started five minutes ago. So, we ran through the street in the rain, our feet getting soaked. It was pretty funny! We did end up making the movie before the commercials ended, and I liked it a lot.

This floral shirt is my new obsession! I think I’ve been dressing a bit more girly lately, because I really want it to be spring. On an unrelated not, I don’t know if you guys notice this at all, but the plants that grow out of the crack in the cement in where my fence is have been getting really big. This wouldn’t been a problem except for that they are actually pretty sharp and poke at my legs when I’m trying to take my picture. So, really I just need to do some gardening and pull them out..

We are home now, but when we were on our trip, my mom and I went to Palm Springs just for one night to enjoy the weather. It was a very relaxing time, and super warm! We spent most of our time just by the pool, and also walked around and went out to eat.

Yesterday I hung out with Roxi again. She inspired me to wear this floral print top, which i made in 8th grade. Sewing is not something I enjoy, despite how convenient that would be. I just get really frustrated with it, and I have a strange tendency to break sewing machines. In any case. we had an amazing day adventuring and enjoying the weather.

I like the color combination in this outfit a lot. This cardigan is a color that I wouldn’t have thought of as being versatile, but it really is. I left it at a friends house and only recently got it back, but I think you will be seeing a lot more of it this spring.
