My friend
Sammy and I went out for Thai food and ice cream tonight. It was really good, and that’s why this post is so late. Her birthday was yesterday, and mine is tomorrow (today’s my last day being 15!!!), so we thought it would be nice to celebrate together today. It’s still cold here, and I was hoping the weather would pick up before my birthday, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.

I feel all bundled up for winter right now! Talking about the weather isn’t that exciting, but it does really impact what types of outfits I can post on here. Hopefully this cold, wet weather we’ve been having will end soon, so I can get back to wearing summer clothes.

This skirt is possibly my favorite thing I’ve been sent to feature here. I love the galaxy print, and it’s really good quality. At $38 it’s about half the price of a
Black Milk skirt, especially because
Sheinside has free shipping. Have I sold you yet? You can buy it
here.

Today I had a pretty good day because we went on a field trip this morning. I won a contest my favorite teacher had, so she bought me and my friends Starbucks, which was so nice of her. This outfit is super comfortable, but my skirt was really static-ey all morning.

I tried taking my picture in a new spot to see if it would turn out more in focus, but It didn’t really help. Oh well, you get the idea of the outfit anyways. Do you like this location better then my usual fence spot, or does it really not matter?

I almost didn’t take a picture today, because this outfit is kind of boring, but I had time, so I thought I might as well. My top is more flowey and girly, so I thought it would look nice in contrast to the geometric lines of the skirt. Then I just kept the rest simple so it wouldn’t compete with the busy pattern or bold color.

The lovely people from
Sheinside were nice enough to let me pick out something from their site to review. Sheinside has a lot of great, trendy pieces, and they get new things daily, so check back often! I’m really happy with this skirt. It seems to be well made, and I think the high-low hem makes it really unique. All and all, Sheinside seems to be a great brand, and so you should check out
their site!

I love this skirt with little nesting dolls on it! However, it can be hard to wear because it’s so busy and colorful. Today I kept it simple by just pairing it with black and a touch of gold on my belt.

This morning I went to a planning meeting for the camp I volunteer at, which was fun, and now I need to do a bunch of homework and other random things. I felt like actually getting dressed instead of just wearing leggings and a sweater, so I wore this patterned skirt. I got it at Value Village awhile ago and then my mom shortened it for me. Now I probably would like it at its original length, but I wasn’t into longer skirts when I got it.

I love the warm, fall colors in this sweater. They make me happy, and I think the gold threads in my scarf and my gold headband compliment them well. My sweater and scarf are pretty bulky, so I tucked the sweater into this black, short skirt to balance it out.

I made this skirt when I was in fifth grade, I think. Sewing is very frustrating for me, so I haven’t made much of my own clothes even though I’d love to. For some reason as soon as I touch a sewing machine everything goes wrong! Anyways, I’m very impressed my fifth grade self had the patience to make this skirt. It’s longer then what I usually wear, but I like it.

The vest I’m wearing used to be a jacket, but the sleeves were irritating, so I ripped them off. I think it looks pretty cute this way. Also, the shirt I am wearing is actually a tight dress, but I tucked it into a skirt because I the proportions looked better with the outfit. I like the contrast of black against the light denim and how my tights match my lipstick.

This is what I wore on Wednesday, but I didn’t get home till late because of soccer, so I didn’t post. I really need to throw out these tights, the runs in them got even bigger than in this picture by the end of the day. Maybe I’ll get another pair, but I’m not sure because they’ll probably just rip again.

I was very tired all day today. Like so-close-to-falling-asleep-in-class tired. It was not fun. Anyways, on to the clothes.. The top half this outfit reminds me of something an old man would wear, so I added a girly skirt and lace tights to balance the look out.

The other day I saw this sweater and this skirt lying next to each other in a pile of clothes on my floor. I thought, “those would be cute together,” and this outfit was born! It’s kind of match-y with the red flowers and the red sweater, but not too much.
